Funeral poster of Ibrah One pops up after Menzgold resumed operations

Ibrah One Poster
Social media users have reacted to statement from Ibrah One that he will commit suicide if Menzgold is able to restart operations on the 28th September 2018 as stated by the management in their press release.

Ibrah One who has been on the neck of NAM 1 ever since the brouhaha between Menzgold and the Central bank started, posted on his Instagram stories that he would end his life if they are able to bounce back to doing business by the 28th September as their official release stated.

Menzgold Ghana Limited has for some time now been in the news after the Securities and Exchange Commission asked it to close down after it was found guilty of operating without a valid license.

According to Ibrah One, Menzgold will never bounce back because they are operating fraud venture at their establishment and he can bet with his life it’s over for the CEO of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah.

However, social media users have released a supposed funeral poster of the young millionaire with details to mock him of not been able to fulfill his promise of committing suicide if Menzgold is able to restart operations on the 28th September 2018.

Meanwhile, NAM1 has already come out to explain that, Ibrah One is hating on him and calling doom for him because he snubbed him somewhere last year when he contacted him for a business meeting. claim dividends

I won't be mute if Shatta Wale keeps attacking my brand — Stonebwoy

Image result for stonebwoyIt looks like the feud between Dancehall artistes Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale is not ending anytime soon and music lovers will have to brace themselves for more salvos from both sides.

This is because Stonebwoy has disclosed to Showbiz that he cannot just shut up when Shatta Wale keeps attacking him and makes false statements against him.

“A lot of people have personally told me not to descend into the gutters with Shatta Wale but the issue is I can’t allow him to go ahead to do that to my brand.

“There is a saying that ‘when a mad man comes for your clothes in your bathroom you don’t run after him naked’ but if the mad man continually keeps coming for your clothes anytime you are in the bathroom, you need to find a solution and that is what I am doing” he said.

According to the Hero hitmaker, he will not allow anyone to take advantage of his calmness and tarnish his brand he has built over the years.

“I have been through a lot to get the brand to where it is now and I will not just sit and allow anyone to put it into disrepute,” he revealed. He explained that although people see him as a calm person, he can really go crazy.

“I am the coolest person but you don’t want to see my other side. I can be rough but I normally hide that aspect of me,” he said.

Asked whether the dispute between him and Shatta Wale isn’t just a hype, Stonebwoy said he doesn’t need hype because he never built his music on that.

According to him, hard work and perseverance is what has brought him to where he is now and not hype.

“Stonebwoy’s brand is too huge to be built on hype. I have been accepted by almost every Ghanaian and God is blessing me for my hard work and determination,” he said.

Known for songs like People Dey, Mightylele, Say It, Come From Far, Run Go and Pull Up, Stonebwoy said he is glad Ghanaians enjoyed his Epistles Of Mama (EOM) album.

“Almost all the songs on the album became a hit and I am glad Ghanaians liked it. I will be dropping the video of Most Original featuring Sean Paul and it is massive,” he said.

Hit songs are no longer part of my problems – Tic Tac

Musician Tic Tac has replied comments that he is struggling to maintain relevance in Showbiz circles by trying to release hit songs.
The celebrated musician has, however, debunked the allegations, saying he has already made his mark and has nothing to prove to anyone.
He told Sammy Flex in an interview on Showbiz Agenda on Zylofon 102.1 FM that ”I don’t really stress about hit songs anymore. I need to make that clear.”
“When people say I want to blow, I just think they missed the point. I have nothing to prove, I have already blown”, Tic added.
He stated that at this stage in his life, he is only interested in releasing songs that do not fall below the standard he set for himself when he was in his prime.
According to him, the main focus is that any song he releases is a good one so as not to ruin the reputation he has set for himself.

I wouldn’t go out and won’t go to shows. I was always indoors in Italy. I was smoking a lot,” the rapper revealed in an interview with Delay.
Asked how he was able to get back on track, Pappy said “I just realised it’s something everyone goes through. I don’t think it’s healthy. People expect you to be great and there are no structures to make it happen”.

Stonebwoy Is One of The Most Intelligent People In Ghana - Rev. Eastwood Anaba

President and Founder of Eastwood Anaba Ministries (EAM), Rev. Eastwood Anaba, has said Ghana’s BET Award winning Reggae and Dancehall artiste Stonewboy is one of the most intelligent people in Ghana.

In a viral video which shows the man of God preaching to his congregation, Reverend Eastwood Anaba disclosed that anytime he listens to songs by Stonebwoy he sees the talent of a clever young man being displayed.

“I listened to Stonebwoy, I called my daughter Wegewor and said ‘get me the number of that young man. I want to call him and tell him he’s a very intelligent man.

" . . I listened to the man and it was almost as if I was listening to a professor from a University at that young age,” Rev. Anaba told his congregation.

" . . So I told myself, there are intelligent people like this in Ghana. Blessed people like this in Ghana. God has given them gifts.”
 Rev Eastwood Anaba said.

Watch the video below:

According the well respected preacher, lyrics of Stonebwoy’s songs can be equated to the thoughts of university professor.

Stonebwoy who is obviously overwhelmed with his latest accolade from the man of God said he is touched.

He posted the viral video on his Instagram page this morning with the caption below:

"Good Morning World . . . This Touched My Spirit. I Can’t Explain How. To Be Named Amongst The Intelligent By Rev. Eastwood Anaba Of @eastwoodanabaministries Is actually A Responsibility. An Obligation To Achieve . . A Task To Stay Put. #beyondreligions #impacttheworld #BlessHisImperialMajesty #BHIMnation"

Don't wish for our downfall - Zylofon Media

Arnold Zylofon Media downfall

The lack of investment in Ghana’s entertainment industry has certainly affected its progress and the entry of Zylofon Media two years ago, should have been good news for the sector.
However, the outfit, which has musicians like Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Becca, Kumi Guitar, Obibini among others in its books, has faced constant criticism in its activities; be it how much they spend on their signees, how they handle them among others.

Recently, after the poor reception its signees received at a concert to celebrate Zylofon Media and its sister company, Menzgold’s entry into Nigeria, the company itself received a lot of the backlash from the event.

And in an interview with Showbiz about the attacks, Communications Director of Zylofon Music, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo, said some of the criticisms were destructive and only seek Zylofon’s downfall.

“Zylofon is not beyond criticisms because every entity that wants success considers differing views but some comments and views expressed don’t strive for the company’s good.

“It is as if the only thing they look out for is to wake up and know that Zylofon has folded up or is not operating again and that is very unfair to a company that has shown a lot of commitment towards the creative arts industry,” he said.

Citing the Nigerian episode to support his point, Arnold said the issue was blown out of proportion because critics just pointed to the negatives without considering its good intentions.

“Amazingly, a section of the populace blew the issue out of proportion. They had a lukewarm reception from the audience and it is acceptable in musical performances. They were not booed off stage, that never happened.
“Getting low or no response during a performance is no big deal.

Foreign artistes over the period have experienced same in Ghana. Even icons like Michael Jackson and Whitney all faced it, the fuss was much ado about nothing.

“Besides, it was the first time a Ghanaian firm had organised such a concert in Nigeria with lots of Ghanaian acts so it was somehow a new experience for us as a people.

“ I’m sure if the coin was flipped, Nigerians would not bother but in our case, it was worse because it is Zylofon,” he stated.

Since its launch, Zylofon has established Zylofon Cash, Zylofon Music and the latest Zylofon View, an online cinema platform and Arnold disclosed the company’s move to gain a foothold in Nigeria’s entertainment market.

“The notion has always been that it is difficult for a Ghanaian firm to set up in Nigeria. Zylofon has surmounted all the hurdles to actually establish in the country and that is a huge step.

“ What is left for us is to plug in, build trust in the terrain and facilitate the promotion and marketing of Ghanaian music.

“Zylofon is doing all this for the good of Ghana’s creative industry to compete favourably and needs support and constructive opinions to succeed,” he added.

Negative stories make me feel relevant — Wendy Shay

Wendy Shay negative stories relevantSome celebrities will do anything they can to make sure they avoid getting in the news for negative reasons as they believe it can ruin their career but Uber Driverhitmaker, Wendy Shay is the opposite as she thrives on negtaive stories about her.
According to the Afrobeats musician, negative stories make her feel relevant. “I feel very important when negative stories are written about me because it makes me feel I am doing something great.

“ If I was not that important, no one would have said anything about me. It really hurts if you are doing something wonderful and no one is talking about you,” she told Graphic Showbiz recently.

She said although the negative things said about her are not true, she takes everything in good faith because she expected that to happen.

“As a showbiz person, I knew such things will happen but none of the things said about me for example, me wearing the same weave for nine months and continually wearing some particular shoes are true,” she said.

She is sexy and has the curves that men like but Wendy Shay, who wants to make a mark in the music industry says men should stay away for now because she want to focus on her career.

“Although I get a lot of proposals, I don’t think I am ready for a relationship right now because my music career matters most to me at the moment.

“ I am 22 years old and I have time to achieve big things in my music career, maybe relationships or marriage can come later,” she stated.

With songs like Uber DriverBedroom Commando and recently Astalavista doing the magic for her, Wendy Shay says she sees herself winning Grammys in the next five years.

According to her, the sky is her limit and with the great team she has, she is very positive that she will achieve great results in no time.

“It feels good to work with a record label which understands you and knows your direction. When both parties understand each other, attaining your goals is very quick and easy,” she said.

Wendy Shay expressed gratitude to her manager Bullet and the entire Rufftown Records label for spotting the talent in her.
